About this role

Entry-level reactor core thermal hydraulic design role at Westinghouse supporting nuclear safety. You will perform thermal hydraulic analyses for US and international customers using approved methodologies, develop expertise in reactor core design through formal training and mentorship, and contribute to safe plant operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard Reactor Core Thermal Hydraulic Design analyses for US and international customers following approved methodologies and procedures with focus on nuclear safety
  • Produce error-free analyses that support safe plant operation
  • Verify standard evaluations and analyses performed by others
  • Support emergent issues and interface with customers and other Westinghouse teams
  • Plan and schedule own work to meet assignment requirements within schedule and budget
  • Identify and recommend improvements in processes and tools

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; minimum 3.0 GPA; 0+ years of engineering experience; ability to apply fundamental engineering principles; computer simulation and programming skills; Linux experience; Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification complete or in process.
