Quality Engineer II
About this role
Quality Engineer II supporting Westinghouse's Global Instrumentation & Control Products (GICP) facility. You will ensure contractual and quality program compliance through audits, document reviews, and product certification activities for nuclear I&C systems and software.
Responsibilities
- —Ensure contractual and Westinghouse quality program requirements are incorporated into project planning documents
- —Perform in-process software audits and coordinate customer audit preparation and support
- —Provide certification that products from GICP were produced in conformance with contract and quality program requirements based on records review
- —Review and comment on project documents; support procedure maintenance activities
- —Manage Corrective Action Program (CAP) issues to closure in accordance with quality program requirements
- —Prepare for and support internal audits and ISO certification audits; lead internal audit teams
- —Provide consultation to Global I&C managers and personnel on quality program compliance questions
- —Comment on proposed Level 2 procedure revisions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; 6+ years quality assurance or related experience; 3+ years in quality assurance role; working knowledge of ISO-9001, ISO standards, ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21
Desired
Nuclear industry quality assurance experience; working knowledge of SAP
