Project Engineering Supervisor - nuclear engineering
About this role
Lead a team of 15–20 project engineers supporting Westinghouse's AP1000 new build programs, with primary focus on the Bulgaria Kozloduy Units 7 and 8 project. Coordinate engineering groups, manage team development, and ensure delivery against safety, quality, cost, and schedule expectations.
Responsibilities
- —Provide engineering support and oversight to a team of 15–20 project engineers across multiple early-works AP1000 projects
- —Ensure team adherence to safety, quality, cost, performance, and schedule expectations
- —Assign trained and qualified resources to project execution, aligning assignments with developmental goals
- —Develop team skills through training compliance, technical leadership development, and mentoring
- —Ensure work activities comply with established Westinghouse procedures and defined scopes
- —Communicate with all levels of management and conduct quarterly performance reviews
- —Manage resource workload and assignments to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
- —Coordinate APX Projects and functional engineering groups toward achieving project goals
Qualifications
- —Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering
- —Experience leading mid- to large-scale cross-functional engineering teams in design or EPC environments
- —Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- —Very good English and Bulgarian language skills
Desired
- —Master's degree in engineering
Location
Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid (2 days/week in office); up to 25% travel domestically or internationally during peak periods
