Required qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field; experience in industrial programming or software development for industrial processes; experience with robotics and automation systems; ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in VT (Visual Testing) and/or PT (Penetrant Testing); fluent in French and English; valid driving license (category B).
About this role
Project Engineer specializing in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) software, HMI development, and robotics for nuclear inspection platforms. Develop, qualify, and deploy advanced NDT inspection solutions for European nuclear environments, combining engineering, software development, and field deployment support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct studies and implement NDT methods; design and develop robotic systems and HMI solutions for NDT applications
- Lead development and qualification testing of NDT processes; analyze results and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide technical justification, validation, and high-quality technical documentation (specifications, procedures) in French and English
- Train field personnel and provide technical supervision during on-site nuclear plant interventions; manage technical deviations
- Contribute to digital tools innovation, tender preparation, and continuous improvement of NDT methods and tools
Preferred qualifications
Experience in visual inspection of welds (direct or remote); additional ISO 9712 certifications (Level 2 or 3); nuclear industry or EDF experience; German or Spanish language skills.
Location, schedule, and travel
Based in Villejust, France. Regular travel to workshops, nuclear power plant sites (France and international), and client locations. Shift work and weekend work possible depending on project schedules.
