About this role
Support Westinghouse's AP1000 new nuclear plant development as a Project Engineer II. Work with the Project Development Engineering team at Cranberry Township headquarters on nuclear power plant design across multiple disciplines. Engage with international new build market opportunities, supporting bid and proposal efforts in Europe and globally.
Responsibilities
- Assess incoming customer requests and develop response plans
- Compile existing technical design information across multiple technical areas into reports
- Interact with various engineering groups and departments to drive timely delivery of engineering commitments with appropriate quality
- Support multiple aspects of future bid and proposal efforts in Europe and globally
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop recovery plans
- Serve as lead contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinators
- Represent your discipline in project review meetings
- Apply engineering principles to integrate multidisciplinary input
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience on AP1000 or AP300 projects
- Design & Analysis experience: NSSS components, piping, electrical, civil/structural
- Systems Engineering background: nuclear systems, turbine island, plant layout
- Regulatory & Licensing experience: domestic/international regulatory interaction
Location, schedule, and travel
Hybrid work arrangement (remote + on-site collaboration) at Cranberry Township, PA global headquarters; up to 10% international travel required, with higher frequency during peak times.
