Project Director
About this role
Project Director leading $1–3 billion uranium enrichment facility expansion projects at Urenco USA's Eunice, NM site. Manage complete EPC/EPCM project lifecycle—initiation through closure—with accountability for safety, scope, cost, schedule, and business objectives on large-scale centrifuge expansion programs.
Responsibilities
- —Lead and deliver centrifuge expansion projects meeting safety, scope, cost, schedule, and business benefits objectives
- —Develop and implement fit-for-purpose project management methodologies and working practices
- —Advise on Capacity Expansion Program delivery strategy with Global Subject Matter Experts, Procurement, and Legal
- —Design, build, and develop high-performance integrated teams ensuring coordination across all sub-disciplines and site functions
- —Foster owner relationships with partner contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
- —Ensure commercial position is protected through best-practice contracting strategies, procurement, and contract management
- —Promote pro-active safety culture throughout project lifecycle and serve as a safety role model
- —Conduct lessons learned reviews and transfer knowledge across Urenco to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in Project Management or related discipline
- —Project Management Qualification/Accreditation (APM, PMI, or equivalent)
- —5+ years' experience as Project Director or in owner role leading large, complex/multiple EPC/EPCM projects with full accountability
- —On-site construction experience
- —CAA Access and L or Q level security clearance
Desired
- —MBA or equivalent
- —10+ years managing multi-cultural teams
Location
Eunice, NM; 9/80 professional work schedule; ≤10% travel; on-site required. CAA Access and security clearance (L or Q level) required. Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required, including 24/7 on-call during designated duty weeks. Radiological exposure expectations.
