About this role
Westinghouse is seeking a Product Technician to join the bolt replacement and special products team in Mannheim. You will develop and design specialized remotely-operated equipment for nuclear power plant component repair, driving innovative tools from concept through field deployment and supporting FOAK (First-Of-A-Kind) projects across international teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design concepts for equipment and processes used in nuclear power plant component repair
- Work closely with design engineers to convert concepts into reality
- Support development, testing, and qualification of new equipment, including customer reviews and on-site activities
- Contribute to FOAK projects and advance products from prototype to maturity
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation including Work Instructions, Development Programs, Test Reports, and Bills of Materials
- Provide ongoing support for existing products: troubleshooting, spare parts coordination, and technician training
- Collaborate across departments, sites, and international teams
Preferred qualifications
- French language (speaking and writing)
- Knowledge of machining/chip-removal processes
- Knowledge of hydraulics
- Knowledge of materials and welding
