About this role
Field Service Technician supporting nuclear power plant outage operations worldwide. Repair, commission, and operate specialized remote-controlled equipment (milling, drilling, EDM, bolting systems) used during nuclear plant maintenance. Install and configure control software, collaborate with engineering teams on equipment validation, and manufacture mechanical/electrical components.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain specialized remote-controlled equipment (milling, drilling, Electric Discharge Machining, bolting systems)
- Commission, test, and troubleshoot newly designed equipment at nuclear power plants
- Support Product and Development Engineers during testing phases (parameter development, validation, troubleshooting)
- Install and configure software on computers and control units, including network setup
- Operate specialized equipment on-site at nuclear power plants worldwide
- Manufacture or modify electrical and mechanical components
- Assemble equipment and tooling
Preferred qualifications
- English proficiency B1 or higher
- Local language proficiency (Germany, Spain, Belgium): native level or C1/C2 equivalent
Location, schedule, and travel
Mannheim-based; international travel required for nuclear power plant outages; hybrid work arrangement
