About this role

Procurement Engineer supporting Westinghouse nuclear fleet operations in Jupiter, FL. You will ensure ordered parts maintain design, license, and technical specifications by performing engineering evaluations, Item-Equivalency Assessments (IEEs), and coordinating across engineering, operations, maintenance, and licensing teams. This is a 1-year W-2 contract assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering evaluations to establish purchase requirements and associated testing/certification requirements
  • Conduct Item-Equivalency Evaluations (IEEs) to address obsolete or unavailable items
  • Review and resolve challenges with received parts (OSDDs)
  • Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve engineering problems
  • Develop and oversee test activities to evaluate recommended solutions and analyze data
  • Provide technical oversight of engineering vendor activities and perform owners' acceptance reviews on deliverables
  • Serve as technical liaison and coordinator across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Licensing teams
  • Lead discussions and training sessions to resolve problems and coordinate production
  • Ensure successful implementation of assigned projects with schedule ownership
  • Support refueling outages and emergent modifications

Preferred qualifications

  • Nuclear industry experience
  • NAMS Asset Suite experience
  • Test Engineer or hands-on equipment experience
