Principle Supplier Performance Engineer
About this role
Lead supplier performance and quality for Westinghouse nuclear products. This Principal Supplier Performance Engineer role oversees on-site and remote supplier compliance, drives quality and delivery metrics, and develops manufacturing capabilities across critical vendors supplying nuclear components and systems.
Responsibilities
- —Perform on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure technical and quality requirements are met
- —Develop and implement Supplier Oversight Plans to drive on-time completion of document submittals, manufacturing activities, inspections, and tests
- —Coordinate cross-functional activities across Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams
- —Identify and escalate significant supplier issues, risks, and quality events; drive prompt resolution through coordinated corrective actions
- —Monitor key supplier performance metrics (On-Time Delivery, Quality issues, Deviation Notices) and implement causal analysis and Supplier Improvement Plans
- —Evaluate procurement risk and develop security of supply risk mitigation plans
- —Own internal and external corrective action requests; perform cause analyses and verify completion
- —Perform technical evaluations of new and existing suppliers to assess manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, and regulatory compliance
- —Identify capability gaps and establish development plans to align suppliers with Westinghouse requirements
- —Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new nuclear products and improvement initiatives
- —Review and disposition supplier process documents, process capability analyses, and measurement system analyses
- —Collaborate with Design Engineering on drawing clarity, manufacturability requirements, and supplier communication
- —Support Value Analysis, Design for Assembly, and Design for Manufacturing initiatives
Qualifications
- —Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering
- —4+ years of progressive experience in engineering or manufacturing
- —Knowledge of manufacturing processes (precision machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE, inspection, testing)
- —Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification
- —Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs
- —Experience leading multiple concurrent cross-functional projects
- —Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint
- —Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures
- —Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards
- —Fluency in English
Desired
- —Experience with nuclear products and standards (10 CFR compliance, NRC regulations)
- —Project Management certification or experience
- —Effective communication and negotiation skills across disciplines

Location
30% travel to France and Europe; hybrid/on-site at supplier facilities and offices
