Principal Project Manager
About this role
Principal Project Manager at Westinghouse managing NSSS modifications and asset management solutions for operating nuclear plants. Oversee full project lifecycle—scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources—for nuclear engineering projects at the Cranberry, PA facility.
Responsibilities
- —Complete all aspects of planning including project plans, scope, schedule, and cost baselines
- —Acquire and manage team members to execute project work per department protocols
- —Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholder partnerships
- —Interpret and communicate project/contract requirements and changes via integrated change management process
- —Coordinate project communications with team, customers, and partners on status and deliverables
- —Maintain project databases and documentation systems for efficient correspondence handling
- —Close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource systems
- —Perform final quality assessment and document results
- —Communicate lessons learned, improvement opportunities, and risk avoidance strategies for future projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline. 5 years of project management experience leading low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion.
Desired
Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business. 6–10 years of project management experience in technical industries (engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction).
