Principal Project Manager
About this role
Principal Project Manager at Westinghouse leading moderate to high complexity nuclear energy projects and portfolios. Manage medium-sized teams (10–30 members) overseeing all project management processes, cost estimates, customer negotiations, and support for operating plant modifications and support services. Based in Cranberry Township, PA (hybrid, 2 days/week onsite).
Responsibilities
- —Lead all project management processes for moderate to high complexity projects or portfolios of lower complexity projects
- —Manage medium-sized teams (10–30 members) including project controls and engineers
- —Develop cost estimates and oversee offers for operating plant support and modifications
- —Author project management plans and establish scope, schedule, and cost baselines per Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR)
- —Manage and integrate all project aspects: scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners
- —Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements and changes following integrated change management process
- —Support proposal processes and guide customer negotiations
- —Close projects by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems
- —Perform final project quality assessment and reporting; identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related technical discipline. Minimum 8+ years total experience with at least 7 years as project manager leading low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion. Project management experience in a technical industry (engineering, manufacturing, nuclear, or construction).
Desired
3+ years of project management with 2+ years in a technical leadership role (may substitute for some core requirements).
Location
Cranberry Township, PA; hybrid role requiring 2 days per week onsite
