Principal Product Engineer, Mechanical Parts
About this role
Principal Product Engineer leading mechanical parts product development and market expansion for Westinghouse's nuclear energy business in EMEA. Responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities, managing product portfolios, developing supplier partnerships, and directing cross-functional teams to deliver nuclear-qualified components and assemblies.
Responsibilities
- —Identify strategic plans and develop product offerings to increase growth in target nuclear parts markets
- —Manage strategic taskforces and lead project teams for product development and commercial offer development
- —Develop supplier teaming arrangements and lead commercial discussions with suppliers and customers globally
- —Promote expansion through Teaming Agreements and M&A activities
- —Incorporate Voice of the Customer and business assessments to prioritize new product development
- —Prepare business assessments and technical specifications for partners
- —Facilitate coordination between sales and fulfillment teams to ensure project prioritization and successful delivery
- —Travel up to 25% to customers, suppliers, and industry conferences in EMEA region; occasional US travel
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
- —10+ years of professional experience in technical or business-related fields
- —Experience with nuclear products market and product management concepts
- —Knowledge of nuclear component procurement activities, country-specific codes and standards, and nuclear supplier base
- —Knowledge of multiple mechanical products in nuclear power plant applications
- —Experience developing technical specifications for partners
Location
Hybrid role based in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Spain; up to 25% travel within EMEA region and occasional travel to US.
