Principal Procurement Engineer at Westinghouse managing end-to-end procurement for the APX Supply Chain Team, delivering Cranes and Fuel Handling Equipment for AP1000 New Plant Projects. Lead cross-functional procurement strategies, supplier management, and contract execution while ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, quality, and NRC regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage pre-PO and post-PO procurement activities for APX Supply Chain Team, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality adherence
- Lead delivery of Cranes and Fuel Handling Equipment (FHE) for AP1000 projects; assess supplier capacity, capability, and manufacturing processes against technical requirements
- Approve safety-related requisitions and communicate applicable regulatory requirements to suppliers; ensure compliance with NRC standards and internal procurement policies
- Partner with Offer, Project, and Commercial Teams to develop procurement strategies; identify demand, evaluate potential suppliers via Approved Supplier List (ASL) process
- Analyze commodity cost drivers and supplier operational/financial factors to identify savings opportunities and improve value
- Manage supplier commitments post-purchase order, including contract management, change orders, entitlements analysis, and SAP updates
- Monitor active projects by tracking status, removing roadblocks, escalating issues, and coordinating changes across team members

- Experience with SAP systems
