About this role
Manage spare parts proposals, cost estimates, and order execution for Westinghouse's nuclear reactor components at the Newington Operations facility. Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, quality, and operations teams to deliver critical spare parts solutions on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- —Lead internal cost estimates for spare parts opportunities in collaboration with Engineering Managers
- —Determine make/buy decisions for parts and components; communicate with Sourcing to solicit and manage competitive bids
- —Own estimate status tracking and expedite work to meet customer due dates
- —Coordinate with Quality Assurance to develop item-specific QA plans and cost estimates
- —Oversee successful launch of newly awarded parts orders, including kickoff and production initiation
- —Provide work-in-progress production updates, fabrication completion status, and delivery schedules
- —Assist production leaders in creating credible production plans; plan and manage work-in-progress inventory
- —Support departments in resolving execution issues such as nonconformances
- —Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce proposal cycle time
Qualifications
- —Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
- —2+ years of experience in spare parts management, production planning, or order execution
- —Detail-oriented with strong cost estimating, inventory control, and planning capabilities
- —Ability to interpret technical documentation (bills of material, drawings, specifications)
- —Problem-solving skills and experience supporting issue resolution during order execution
- —Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- —Capability to perform accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Desired
- —Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP
- —Familiarity with structured manufacturing processes
- —Motivation to contribute to continuous improvement projects
Location
Newington, NH; hybrid role requiring 2–3 days onsite per week
