Quality Specialist
About this role
Quality Specialist role at Westinghouse supporting nuclear industry quality assurance. Responsible for ensuring corporate QEHS processes, products, and services meet NRC and technical requirements. Develop and execute quality activities including management systems, corrective actions, audits, and regulatory agency coordination. Hybrid position based in Cranberry Township, PA.
Responsibilities
- —Support coordination of third-party inquiries and audits from government regulatory agencies, customers, industry entities, and registrars
- —Participate in internal quality audits and assessments to verify compliance with NRC regulations, codes, and standards
- —Coordinate multi-functional projects and monitor progress against quality objectives
- —Prepare data reports, presentations, and organizational metrics for leadership evaluation
- —Initiate and perform Corrective Action Program efforts, including causal analysis, corrective action implementation, and Issue Review Committee coordination
- —Support revisions to Corporate Quality procedures and coordinate document management, archival, and retention requirements
- —Provide input to corporate quality processes including management review, self-assessments, procedure revisions, and operating experience
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- —3+ years of work experience in quality or a technical role
- —Experience in quality, engineering, or operations groups associated with nuclear or other regulated industries
Desired
- —ASQ Auditing Certification
- —Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations; familiarity with NQA-1
- —Knowledge and use of causal analysis tools
