Outage Specialist at Crane CEC (Constellation) nuclear facility in Middletown, PA. Direct planning and execution of forced, planned, and refueling outages across all departments. Ensure shutdown safety, ALARA compliance, technical specification adherence, and risk management throughout the outage lifecycle.

Responsibilities

—Direct and coordinate detailed schedule and outage plan development for upcoming unit outages to ensure technical specification compliance and maintain shutdown safety
—Participate in and provide oversight of horizontal schedule reviews and vertical slice reviews
—Provide direction to departmental planners, schedulers, and specialized teams for outage plan and schedule preparation and execution
—Direct the development, implementation, and communication of the Shutdown Safety Program
—Direct outage plan and schedule execution ensuring technical specification compliance while maintaining shutdown safety
—Support high-impact teams tracking to provide oversight of effectiveness
—Coordinate risk screening in support of overall outage risk management
—Develop and maintain forced and maintenance outage plans
—Coordinate outage control center (OCC) training and tabletop drills
—Support development of presentation material for outage readiness meetings and executive challenge meetings
—Conduct critiques for capture of lessons learned
—Conduct gap analysis and updates to the clean energy center outage template

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or technical field (engineering/maintenance) with 8+ years power plant experience including 3+ years commercial or military nuclear experience in engineering, maintenance, operations, or work management. OR: Current or previous SRO license with 8+ years power plant experience including 3+ years nuclear. OR: Associate's degree with 10+ years power plant experience including 3+ years nuclear. OR: High school diploma/GED with 12+ years power plant experience including 3+ years nuclear. Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements as applicable. Favorable medical examination per position duties.
