For Sr. Instructor: 5+ years of plant operation experience including 3 years of training-related experience

For Sr. Instructor: NANT instructor qualification (or must be qualified within 1 year of assignment)

For Sr. Instructor: Familiarity with SAT principles and applicable regulatory requirements for licensed and non-licensed operators

About this role

Operations Instructor or Senior Operations Instructor at a nuclear power plant, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering operator training programs across classroom and simulator environments. The role supports training for non-licensed operators, licensed operators, Shift Managers, and Shift Technical Advisors, and requires expertise in nuclear plant operations, instructional design, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Analyze and design training programs for non-licensed operators, licensed operators, Shift Managers, and Shift Technical Advisors

Develop and conduct training in classroom and simulator environments; develop and administer operator examinations

Pursue and maintain instructor qualifications including general instructor, simulator booth operator, SRO Certification, and simulator floor instructor certifications

Implement Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) processes and maintain training program accreditation

Assist with self-assessments and evaluations of operator training programs; manage corrective action plans (CAP)

Support plant refueling outages and function as member of site Emergency Response Organization (ERO)

Preferred qualifications

Technical expertise in disciplines such as electrical and mechanical maintenance, health physics, or chemistry

RO or SRO license or SRO Certification (preferred for Instructor level)

Military or commercial nuclear experience

Location, schedule, and travel

Onsite at nuclear power plant facility; may include support of plant refueling outages requiring extended on-site presence.
