About this role

Design, develop, and deliver operator training at a nuclear facility for non-licensed operators, licensed operators, Shift Managers, and Shift Technical Advisors. Evaluate trainee performance, maintain training programs, and support daily operations across classroom and simulator settings.

Responsibilities

—Analyze and design training curriculum for non-licensed operator, licensed operator, Shift Manager, and Shift Technical Advisor programs
—Develop and conduct training in classroom and simulator environments for all operator training programs
—Develop and administer examinations for operator training programs
—Pursue and maintain qualifications including general instructor, simulator booth operator, SRO Certification, and simulator floor instructor credentials
—Assist with self-assessments and evaluations of operator training programs
—Assist with in-processing of contract employees for plant outages
—Support plant refueling outages by transitioning to plant staff during extended periods
—Function as a member of the site Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
—Maintain training program documentation and manage Corrective Action Plans (CAP)

Qualifications

RO or SRO license or SRO Certification; expertise or familiarity with power plant operations; demonstrated ability to interface well with people and communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to effectively present training material to various class sizes with different entry-level knowledge; organizational and administrative skills to produce, maintain, and deliver accredited performance-based training; self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams with minimal supervision; intermediate to advanced computer skills; ability to satisfy Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements.
