About this role
At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. Direct activities of Test Engineers in the Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical testing disciplines of the Nuclear Testing Services (NTS) group remotely stationed at PSEG Nuclear in providing technical solutions in the testing and analysis of power plant equipment in support of nuclear operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver technical services consistent with client expectations.
- Provide direction and technical expertise to achieve organizational, financial, and operational objectives.
- Ensure continuous improvement of self and group personnel.
- Including work planning/coordination, on-the-job training, testing, inspection, and initiating requisitions for procurement of tools, materials, equipment, and etc. from vendors and services from contractors.
- Responsible for calibration & storage of instrument test/measuring equipment and ensuring personnel are knowledgeable of and in compliance with applicable Standards and Procedures.
- Participate in Station and Department planning activities.
- Support Client Specific programs - such as Preventative Maintenance/Predictive Maintenance and Root Cause Analysis to assist in lowering operating and maintenance costs and meeting reliability goals.
- Daily supervision, monitoring and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with company policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreements.
- Supervise activities of the group, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Train, coach & counsel in strengthening technical skills and building teamwork.
