Required qualifications

Associate's degree with technical curriculum required. Minimum 2 courses in Math and 2 courses in Physics, OR 60 college credits in an Engineering curriculum (including 2 Math and 2 Physics courses). Recognized technical programs such as Naval Nuclear or other military nuclear programs may substitute for formal education requirements.

About this role

Support Westinghouse's nuclear energy mission as a Nuclear Analysis Technician at our Cranberry Township, PA headquarters. You'll assist engineers in generating, assembling, and verifying nuclear analysis information, working with data, computer systems, and technical documentation in a union role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in technical functions related to generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information
  • Analyze, summarize, and prepare data into written and graphic form using basic algebraic and trigonometric calculations
  • Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets or specific check programs
  • Assist in preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on raw data analysis
  • Assist in modification of existing non-complex computer programs
  • Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes, and associated records
  • Run data analysis and computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems
  • Support various engineering activities in assigned functional group to develop new skills and knowledge
