Required qualifications
Associate's Degree with technical curriculum required. Minimum 2 Math courses and 2 Physics courses, OR 60 college credits in Engineering curriculum with 2 Math and 2 Physics courses. Military nuclear programs (e.g., Naval Nuclear) may substitute for formal education requirements.
About this role
Nuclear Analysis Technician supporting Westinghouse's reactor design and licensing activities. Generate, assemble, and verify nuclear analysis data; perform calculations and technical documentation; support computer modeling and data management for nuclear engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in generation, assembly, and verification of nuclear analysis information
- Analyze and summarize technical data; prepare written and graphic documentation using algebraic and trigonometric calculations
- Review computer program input using input sheets; verify program functionality
- Prepare computer input modifications and alterations based on raw data analysis
- Modify existing non-complex computer programs to support analysis workflows
- Catalog, maintain, and organize computer input/output files, calculation notes, and associated records
- Execute data analysis and computer plotting programs using assigned systems
- Support engineering activities within assigned functional group
