Nuclear Analysis Tech C / Civil Engineering Techs
About this role
Nuclear Analysis Technician supporting Westinghouse's nuclear engineering operations. You will assist senior engineers in generating, assembling, and verifying nuclear analysis data and calculations for reactor design and licensing work. Core responsibilities include data analysis, computer modeling input preparation, technical documentation, and file management.
Responsibilities
- —Assist engineers in technical functions related to generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information
- —Analyze, summarize, and prepare technical data into written and graphic form using algebraic and trigonometric calculations
- —Review computer program input utilizing input sheets and validation check programs
- —Prepare computer input alterations and modifications based on raw data analysis
- —Assist in modification of existing non-complex computer programs
- —Catalog and maintain computer input/output files, calculation notes, and associated records
- —Run data analysis and computer plotting programs using existing computer systems
- —Support various engineering activities within assigned functional group
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Technical curriculum (or 60+ college credits in Engineering curriculum) with minimum 2 courses in Math and 2 courses in Physics.
Desired
Naval Nuclear program experience or other military technical background; experience with computer programming and data analysis systems.
Location
Onsite at Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. AWSE Union position; no relocation assistance available.
