Nuc Project Construction & Facilities Coord
About this role
Coordinate nuclear facilities maintenance and project construction activities at V.C. Summer (Dominion), managing scheduling, resource allocation, risk planning, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure safe and efficient power generation operations. May serve in the Emergency Response Organization (ERO).
Responsibilities
- —Attend work control and outage meetings, coordinating work completion through the work control process
- —Coordinate scheduled work with Maintenance, Operations, Radiation Protection, and other departments using online plant and outage schedules
- —Oversee facilities maintenance support and project construction activities, managing crew sizes, staffing, equipment, and supplies for optimal productivity and safety
- —Evaluate risk for facilities maintenance and project construction work, developing risk mitigation plans
- —Coordinate and manage emergent work into the online schedule
- —Support development and implementation of outage schedules for on-line schedule integration
- —Prepare viable work schedules that maximize maintenance effectiveness and optimize resource utilization
- —Develop solutions to scheduling problems and resolve plant resource, schedule, and staffing conflicts
- —Coordinate with departments to ensure effective communication and efficiency in weekly work schedules
- —May serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO), responding within 30–60 minutes
Qualifications
- —5+ years of related experience in power plant systems and equipment operation, maintenance, scheduling, or planning in the nuclear field
- —Knowledge of plant specifications, methods, and procedures for site services functions
- —Knowledge of company software and systems used for scheduling outages
- —Effective communication skills and ability to foster cooperation among departments
- —Excellent organizational skills with ability to prepare work schedules and perform assessments
- —Ability to resolve employee concerns competently and foster a Safety Conscious Work Environment
Desired
- —Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or Construction Management (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Location
V.C. Summer Nuclear Station. Office work 76–100%; up to 25% travel; radiation exposure up to 25%; loud noise exposure up to 25%.
