New Grad Leadership Control System Engineer
About this role
Join Westinghouse's Career Catalyst Program as a New Grad Leadership Controls Engineer. Rotate through multiple Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems departments across global locations, gaining hands-on experience in nuclear safety systems, control engineering, hardware/software design, and verification while developing leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- —Deliver value across multiple departments and global locations through planning, communication, and teamwork
- —Identify areas of improvement and use data analysis to propose solutions enhancing departmental efficiency
- —Help develop system design for I&C systems based on functional, design, and regulatory requirements
- —Support design engineers in hardware and software development of I&C systems
- —Develop design documents including functional logic diagrams, system design documents, and calculation notes
- —Conduct engineering review of system documentation
- —Support customer offer development for I&C system projects
- —Develop a foundation of leadership skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering; Flexibility to relocate within Greater Pittsburgh area (Cranberry, New Stanton, Warrendale, Etna); Demonstrated leadership with examples; Above average academic achievement; 1+ years of experience with or knowledge of LabVIEW, C++, Java, Python, object-oriented design, basic TCP/IP networking, virtualization, or embedded software
Desired
Experience with or knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards, Analog/Digital Circuit Design, FPGA, or CPLDs
Location
Hybrid schedule in Cranberry, PA; flexibility to relocate within Greater Pittsburgh area for rotational assignments
