Required qualifications

- Availability for occasional national and international travel
About this role
Westinghouse seeks an NDT Senior Engineer to develop advanced ultrasonic inspection solutions for nuclear applications. You will develop and validate inspection procedures, support procedure qualification activities, and implement new NDT technologies in nuclear-grade environments. This hybrid role combines laboratory-based research with field application of cutting-edge inspection methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques and contribute to development and improvement of laboratory-based inspection methods
- Prepare, document, and validate inspection procedures for nuclear applications
- Participate in inspection and evaluation projects involving metallic materials and welded components
- Prepare technical justifications and supporting documentation for procedure qualification activities
- Collaborate in research and implementation of new NDT technologies and methodologies
- Design and execute laboratory experimental activities with high technical rigor and organization
- Interpret experimental results and prepare clear, structured technical documentation
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in R&D activities, experimental development, or technology validation
- Experience in test design, data analysis, and technical reporting
- Experience in inspection of metallic materials and welds
- Knowledge of NDT procedure qualification processes
- UT Level II or Level III certification (ISO 9712)
- Experience with advanced ultrasonic techniques: Phased Array (PAUT) and Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
- Experience with NDT simulation and analysis software (CIVA, BeamTool, UltraVision)
- Knowledge of international ultrasonic inspection codes and standards (ASME, ISO, ENIQ, RCC-MR)
Location, schedule, and travel
Hybrid role based at Westinghouse HQ in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Spain; occasional national and international travel required.
