About this role
NDE Technician supporting Westinghouse nuclear outage operations at Waltz Mill (Madison, PA) and other nuclear sites. Perform hands-on steam generator primary side service activities, including equipment setup, manipulator installation/removal, and support for eddy current and plugging operations in high-dose, high-contamination environments.
Responsibilities
- —Set up equipment for SG Primary work: run cables, stage equipment, and handle materials
- —Install and remove primary manways and nozzle covers per approved procedures
- —Install and remove Pegasys or ROSA manipulators into steam generators under CSO direction
- —Provide platform support for eddy current operations: load end effectors, change probes, recognize probe types, manage conduit
- —Provide platform support for plugging operations: calibrate tools, load plugs and end effectors onto manipulators under CSO direction
- —Work in high-dose and high-contamination areas with protective clothing and respiratory protection as required
Qualifications
- —Ability to travel and obtain/maintain Unescorted Access status
Desired
- —One year of nuclear outage experience
- —High School Diploma or equivalent
Location
On-site at Westinghouse Waltz Mill facility, Madison, PA, and other nuclear sites. Outage work scheduled for 2026. Travel required. Work in high radiation and contamination areas with protective equipment.
