Mechatronics Technician
About this role
Mechatronics Technician at Westinghouse responsible for repair, maintenance, commissioning, and testing of specialized remote-controlled equipment used in nuclear power plants worldwide. Duties include equipment assembly, software installation, on-site nuclear plant operations, and cross-departmental collaboration on clean energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- —Repair and maintenance of specialized remote-controlled equipment (Milling, Drilling, Rolling, EDM, Bolting, etc.)
- —Commission and test newly designed equipment; support Product/Development Engineers during testing phases and parameter development
- —Install software on computers and control units with network setup
- —Operate specialized equipment on-site in nuclear power plants worldwide
- —Manufacture or modify equipment parts (electrical or mechanical) and assemble equipment
- —Perform cross-departmental and transnational work
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience as Skilled Worker/Technician. Required: Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Tool Maker, or Electrician certification (or equivalent). German language proficiency (C2-level speaking/writing); English minimum A2 (B1 preferred). Basic computer and network knowledge; strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

NDE certifications (VT, UT, PT, ET, etc.)
Location
On-site work in nuclear power plants worldwide with international travel required.
