About this role
Mechatronics Technician at Westinghouse responsible for repair, maintenance, commissioning, and testing of specialized remote-controlled equipment used in nuclear power plants worldwide. Duties include equipment assembly, software installation, on-site nuclear plant operations, and cross-departmental collaboration on clean energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintenance of specialized remote-controlled equipment (Milling, Drilling, Rolling, EDM, Bolting, etc.)
- Commission and test newly designed equipment; support Product/Development Engineers during testing phases and parameter development
- Install software on computers and control units with network setup
- Operate specialized equipment on-site in nuclear power plants worldwide
- Manufacture or modify equipment parts (electrical or mechanical) and assemble equipment
- Perform cross-departmental and transnational work
Preferred qualifications
NDE certifications (VT, UT, PT, ET, etc.)
Location, schedule, and travel
On-site work in nuclear power plants worldwide with international travel required.
