Mechanical Valve Engineering Analyst
About this role
Mechanical Valve Engineering Analyst at Constellation's Byron Clean Energy Center (PWR facility). Provides technical expertise in valve engineering, system analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance to support safe, reliable nuclear plant operations. Entry, Mid, or Senior level positions available.
Responsibilities
- —Develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses and programs for mechanical valve systems and related equipment
- —Identify and resolve equipment and system problems through technical consultation and in-depth problem-solving
- —Perform independent engineering studies, research, and technical analyses in support of plant projects and programs
- —Manage engineering issues and coordinate technical task assignments across departments
- —Ensure work accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design criteria, procedures, codes, and configuration management standards
- —Recommend equipment upgrades, design improvements, and new techniques to enhance performance, reduce costs, and meet regulatory requirements
- —Support emergency response activities, on-call coverage, and outage operations as directed
Qualifications
Entry Level (E01): Bachelor's degree in technical field OR Associate's degree with 1+ years nuclear/related experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years nuclear experience. Mid-Level (E02): Bachelor's degree with 2+ years nuclear/related experience OR Associate's degree with 3+ years OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years nuclear experience. Senior Level (E03): Bachelor's degree with 5+ years nuclear/related experience OR Associate's degree with 7+ years OR High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years nuclear experience (5+ at exempt level). Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for mechanical valve/related functional area (Mid and Senior). Ability to maintain unescorted access clearance with favorable medical examination.
