About this role

Mid-level or senior mechanical engineer position at Constellation's Byron nuclear facility supporting plant operations. Perform engineering analysis, design, and technical tasks to ensure compliance with safety analyses, NRC regulations, industry codes, and engineering specifications. Work under general supervision on systems critical to reactor safety and operability.

Responsibilities

—Perform engineering and technical tasks applying mechanical engineering principles to nuclear plant systems and components
—Ensure all engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes (ASME, etc.), engineering specifications, and NRC regulatory requirements
—Develop and implement effective processes and techniques in compliance with established policies and procedures
—Recommend improvements to standard processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and safety
—Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed by management

Qualifications

—B.S. in Engineering
—Minimum 2 years nuclear experience or related engineering experience (Mid-level) OR minimum 5 years nuclear experience or related engineering experience (Senior-level)
—Meet qualification requirements per ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for nuclear power plant personnel
—Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access to protected areas
—Favorable medical examination and/or testing per position duties
