Constellation, the nation's largest producer of clean energy, seeks a Civil Structural Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise supporting nuclear plant operations and modernization. Responsibilities include engineering analysis, equipment problem-solving, configuration management, and regulatory compliance for multi-billion dollar nuclear fleet investments through 2030.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs in support of nuclear plant operations
  • Serve as subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems through direct involvement and consultation
  • Provide engineering and technical leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs impacting site operations
  • Perform engineering tasks applying nuclear design principles while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Maintain proper configuration management and ensure standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes (including NRC regulations) are used in preparation of plans and specifications
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with code and regulatory changes
  • Support emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and outage activities as directed

Preferred qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) Registration; Structural Engineering Registration; prior nuclear power plant experience or experience with other power utilities; experience with concrete and steel design

Location, schedule, and travel

On-site at nuclear facility; subject to emergency response, on-call duties, and outage support activities
