Mechanical Outage Planner (long-term)
About this role
Long-term contract role planning mechanical outage work at a nuclear power plant in Bridgman, MI. Coordinate work packages, conduct field walkthroughs, and collaborate across operations, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure safe, compliant execution within outage windows and NRC regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- —Plan work tasks daily using client-approved software and procedures
- —Conduct field walkthroughs to refine and improve work package quality
- —Collaborate with vendor/craft supervisors, work management, operations, and engineering to resolve work package issues
- —Select and procure materials needed for work package execution
- —Review engineering changes and participate in work breakdown structure meetings to enhance work package development
- —Maintain compliance with NRC codes, standards, vendor recommendations, and maintenance direction
- —Perform tasks in hazardous areas and areas with possible radiation exposure within NRC limits
- —Support outage schedule rotation and plan to meet outage milestone commitments and AP-930 standards
- —Operate Action Way (Corrective Action Program) and Maximo software systems
Qualifications
Associate degree in physical science or engineering discipline, or equivalent related technical training/equipment experience in nuclear power plant maintenance. 5 years power plant experience in maintenance or operations, with 3 of those years in a nuclear facility. Previous experience using Maximo. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Ability to pass criminal background check, drug/alcohol screening (including marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
Location
Onsite in Bridgman, MI; outage schedule rotation; work in hazardous areas with possible radiation exposure
