Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- NDE Level III certification (or equivalent nuclear industry-recognized credential)
- Significant hands-on experience performing NDE on nuclear or non-nuclear power plant equipment
- Ability to maintain unescorted access authorization at nuclear power plants
- Ability to work safely with hazardous materials
About this role
Conduct and interpret non-destructive examinations (NDE) of steam generators and heat exchangers at nuclear power plants according to written procedures and applicable standards. Lead NDE personnel, develop advanced inspection techniques, and maintain unescorted access at nuclear facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct steam generator and heat exchanger NDE examinations (UT, ECT, VT) per written procedures and industry standards
- Interpret examination results and investigate industry codes to support customer and regulatory compliance
- Develop and refine new inspection techniques; mentor Level I and Level II NDE personnel
- Operate field service equipment including automated NDE systems and computer networks at customer sites
- Support Material Reliability Program (MRP) initiatives and performance-based training to maintain certifications
- Document quality issues and participate in safety training for hazardous environments
Preferred qualifications
- NDE Level II certification with demonstrated career progression toward Level III
Location, schedule, and travel
Waltz Mill facility (Madison, PA); mobile position requiring on-site presence 2–3 days per week; travel to customer sites required
