Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or equivalent field experience
  • 4+ years nuclear power plant experience
  • Ability to manage complex, high-risk, large-scale projects
  • Experience implementing work in radiological areas
  • In-depth knowledge of construction, cost, scheduling, and ability to develop/evaluate construction strategies and techniques
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and components
  • Pass criminal background check, drug/alcohol screen, and employment testing

About this role

Short-term Mechanical Construction Manager position (August–October outage) at a nuclear power plant. You will oversee construction projects, manage contractor teams, and ensure compliance with safety, schedule, and budget targets while reporting to client management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects achieve performance goals, schedule milestones, and budget targets
  • Work with nuclear industry contractors at General Superintendent and Supervisor levels to support construction leadership
  • Establish and maintain high standards for industrial, radiological, and nuclear safety
  • Manage installation and constructability aspects within the Projects Department
  • Develop construction work breakdown structure, schedule, cost estimate, and constructability checklist
  • Review daily Force Reports to confirm resources are available to support the daily schedule
  • Direct field implementation of projects assigned by the Manager of Projects Construction

Onsite at nuclear power plant facility; August–October short-term outage assignment
