About this role
Mechanical Engineer II supporting Westinghouse nuclear reactor mechanical products. Design and analyze safety-critical reactor components and primary system supports using ASME Code standards. Develop engineering documentation, calculations, and manufacturing drawings for nuclear-grade hardware.
Responsibilities
- Perform calculations and apply ASME Code to design and analysis of reactor mechanical components and primary system supports
- Conduct analytical calculations and evaluations using various engineering tools and methods
- Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware, including manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, and qualification reports
- Develop documentation related to calculations and analyses
- Coordinate with technical leads, project managers, and customers on assigned work scope activities
- Travel occasionally to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution
Location, schedule, and travel
Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site at Windsor, CT facility; occasional travel to customer and vendor sites. No relocation assistance provided.
