Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; 3+ years relevant experience; knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and design; awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry; proficiency with industry standard drawings (schematics, cabinet drawings, panel layouts); experience with AutoCAD/3D modeling software; ability to work collaboratively across engineering, testing, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
About this role
Design and deliver Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and electro-mechanical hardware for Westinghouse nuclear safety systems. Issue technical drawings, specifications, and documentation; evaluate obsolescence solutions; support equipment qualification testing; and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure build-to-print compliance and regulatory quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Issue drawings, bill of materials, and technical specifications for I&C Safety System products
- Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing, and manufacturing of Safety System hardware products
- Develop engineered solutions and evaluate part changes to address obsolescence issues for electrical products
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution
- Assist in developing equipment qualification test procedures, support testing execution, evaluate results, and review final reports
- Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations
- Perform engineering calculations in support of design or analysis of products
