Mechanical Design Engineer
About this role
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Westinghouse's radiation, waste management, and decommissioning department. Design and develop cutting and handling tools for radioactive reactor vessel components, including 3D CAD simulations, detailed design documentation, and technical manufacturing instructions.
Responsibilities
- —Create 3D CAD simulations of cutting processes and container packing for radioactive components
- —Develop detailed mechanical designs for manufacturing of specialized tools for radioactive material handling
- —Write technical instructions and documentation for technicians using developed tools
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- —5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design with CAD
- —Solid design knowledge and hands-on CAD experience
- —Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Desired
- —Experience with ProEngineer/CREO
- —Fluency in Swedish
Location
Madrid, Spain (primary); up to 4 weeks per year in Västerås, Sweden. Hybrid work schedule.
