Manager Turbine Support
About this role
Lead turbine generator outage execution projects at Constellation's Clean Energy Centers (nuclear facilities). Manage cross-functional project teams, standardize refueling outage processes across multiple sites, direct budget and schedule execution, and mentor management staff. This role requires expert knowledge of turbine-generator systems in a nuclear environment and direct accountability for safe, compliant, and efficient outage delivery.
Responsibilities
- —Develop detailed outage plans, identify/assign personnel, and define work scope for refueling outages
- —Create scope schedules and budgets using life cycle cost management systems
- —Execute refueling outage services with expert knowledge of turbine/generator operations in nuclear facilities
- —Serve as primary point of communication with CEC management and major vendor organizations
- —Direct project completion and close-out of financial and technical documentation
- —Monitor and report fiscal data, promoting accountability among all project participants
- —Drive continuous improvement initiatives across assigned Clean Energy Centers
- —Communicate technical, financial, and work progress status to corporate and CEC management at all levels
- —Enforce procedure adherence, Human Performance fundamentals, and Technical Human Performance techniques
- —Coach, mentor, and manage performance for managers and employees in assigned area
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree + 8 years power generation experience, OR Associate's degree + 10 years power generation experience, OR High school diploma/GED + 12 years power generation experience
- —Demonstrated leadership in minimum 3 refueling outages
- —Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements as applicable to position
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —Direct turbine/generator experience in nuclear facilities
- —Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- —Project management certification or equivalent experience with large capital projects
