Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
10 years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience
Demonstrated leadership competency and existing management experience
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices applicable to reactor vessel engineering
Ability to gather and analyze technical input, evaluate alternatives, and make sound decisions
About this role
Lead Westinghouse's Reactor Vessel Engineering group at global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Manage a team of engineers responsible for reactor vessel design, analysis, and engineering support for operating nuclear plants and new reactor designs. Report to the Director of Reactor Component Engineering.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage engineering team including performance management, career development, and hiring
Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource allocation across multiple projects and supporting departments
Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering work products to internal quality processes and industry standards
Provide management-level technical oversight for reactor vessel analysis, closure analyses, long-term operations, and uprate projects
Mentor team members to enhance technical proficiency and overall team capability
Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, safety culture, and quality across the group
Coordinate emergent response to customer issues within engineering responsibilities
Location, schedule, and travel
Hybrid position at Westinghouse headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; onsite 2 days per week
