Manager FIN
About this role
Manager of the Fix-It-Now (FIN) Team at a nuclear power facility. Lead maintenance staff and oversee safe, reliable, and efficient operations of assigned systems in compliance with NRC regulations. Manage emergent and priority work, coordinate with Operations and Engineering, and ensure all maintenance activities meet nuclear safety and procedural standards during normal operations, forced outages, refuel outages, and unplanned power reductions.
Responsibilities
Manage assigned maintenance staff including hiring, development, performance evaluation, and training certification compliance
Ensure all FIN activities comply with NRC regulations and facility procedures; supervise troubleshooting and transition of complex issues to Engineering
Plan and execute maintenance activities across all plant operational states (on-line, forced outages, refuel outages, unplanned reductions)
Support Operations with Priority Work List items and Main Control Room deficiencies; maintain work request backlog and schedule integrity
Manage New Work Screening Committee; ensure personnel and safety policy compliance across all FIN maintenance and repair activities
Perform emergency response duties, department duty coverage, and outage support as directed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree + 8 years related experience OR SRO License + 8 years related experience OR Associate degree + 10 years related experience OR High School diploma + 12 years related experience
Minimum 3 years related experience: 2 years power plant, 1 year nuclear power plant, 0.25 years on-site
Meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.4.7) standards for selection, qualification, and training of nuclear power plant personnel
Supervisory or managerial experience
Maintain minimum access or unescorted access requirements as applicable
Favorable medical examination and/or testing per position duties
Desired
Supervisory or managerial experience in Maintenance discipline (Electrical, Instrument, or Mechanical)
Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license or certification
Location
On-site nuclear power plant facility; subject to emergency response duties and on-call coverage requirements.
