Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering and/or leadership experience
- Demonstrated leadership competency and existing management experience
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and design standards
- Ability to work in multicultural environment with time zone differences
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills; ability to gather input, evaluate alternatives, and drive conclusions
About this role
Lead Westinghouse's Containment Vessel Engineering group within the Reactor Component Engineering department. Manage a team of engineers responsible for AP1000 containment vessel design, analysis, and engineering support for both operating plants and new reactor designs.
Responsibilities
- Coach and manage engineering team including performance management, career development, and hiring
- Manage work planning, prioritization, and resource allocation across supporting departments for multiple projects
- Ensure high-quality delivery of engineering work products according to internal quality processes and NRC/industry standards
- Provide management-level technical oversight for containment vessel design, access hatches, and containment vessel structures
- Mentor team members to improve technical proficiency and overall team capability
- Promote continuous improvement, safety culture, and cross-functional collaboration
- Coordinate response to emergent customer issues within scope of responsibility

Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; Hybrid (onsite 2 days per week)
