Maintenance Planner I&C
About this role
Maintenance Planner for Constellation's nuclear power plant responsible for planning and preparing work packages for the Instrumentation & Control (I&C) maintenance department. Ensures safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance operations in compliance with QA manual, company policies, NRC regulations (10 CFR 50.59), ASME Code standards, and applicable technical specifications.
Responsibilities
- —Plan and prepare work instructions directing the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, surveillance, and modification implementation
- —Select and approve purchase orders or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution
- —Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective/preventive maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities
- —Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues
- —Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required for planned work packages
- —Prepare Out of Service (OOS) notices, Radiation Work Permits (RWP), plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability impact statements, ALARA task outs, and related documentation
- —Verify work instructions comply with all applicable procedures including Nuclear Safeguard Protocols, ASME Code, and 10 CFR 50.59 requirements
- —Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, quality, and technical rigor
- —Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendations
- —Manage projects involving system planners or contractors on detailed package preparation elements
- —Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback sessions, troubleshooting, EQR2 reviews, Operating Experience searches, and peer reviews
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations
- —I&C (Instrumentation & Control) related work experience and/or education
Location
On-site at Constellation Clean Energy Center; may be required to support emergency response and outage activities
