Maintenance Planner Electrical
About this role
Plan and prepare work packages for maintenance at Constellation's nuclear power plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution in compliance with NRC regulations (10 CFR 50.59), QA manuals, ASME Code, and company policies. This role requires coordination across Operations, Engineering, Work Management, and Supply departments, with expertise in nuclear regulatory requirements, ALARA principles, and radiation protection.
Responsibilities
- —Plan and prepare work instructions for corrective maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modification implementations
- —Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance activities; define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required
- —Prepare and submit regulatory documentation including Radiation Work Permits (RWPs), Out of Service (OOS) requests, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, operability impact statements, and ALARA task outs
- —Verify work instructions comply with applicable procedures including Nuclear Safeguard Protocols, ASME Code, and NRC standards; approve and review work packages for safety, quality, technical rigor, and 10 CFR 50.59 screening or evaluation
- —Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify, resolve work package issues, and select/approve materials or make procurement recommendations
- —Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate work package development and maintain compliance with codes and standards
- —Provide project management of system planners or contractors; participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback sessions, contract reviews, EQR2 reviews, operating experience searches, and peer reviews
- —Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related nuclear plant experience, OR Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
- —Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements as applicable
- —Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Desired
- —5+ years of experience in nuclear power plant operations
- —Familiarity with nuclear regulatory framework and NRC inspection findings
Location
Onsite at Constellation Clean Energy Center (CEC); subject to emergency response and outage support activities
