Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, OR Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 2 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements as applicable
Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
About this role
Plan and prepare work packages for maintenance activities at a nuclear power plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution in compliance with QA manuals, NRC regulations, and applicable codes. Coordinate across Operations, Engineering, Work Management, and Supply to develop detailed maintenance procedures, procurement specifications, and regulatory documentation (RWP, OOS requests, 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations).
Responsibilities
Plan and prepare work instructions for corrective maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modifications
Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities; select and approve materials/procurement
Prepare and submit regulatory documentation including Radiation Work Permits (RWP), Out of Service (OOS) requests, plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, and fire impairments
Verify work instructions comply with Nuclear Safeguard Protocol (NSP), ASME Code requirements, and applicable procedures
Approve and review work packages to ensure safety, quality, and technical rigor; complete 10 CFR 50.59 screening or evaluation
Develop and revise maintenance procedures; provide project management oversight of system planners and contractors
Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, contract reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and Operating Experience (OPEX) searches
Perform emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage support as directed
Preferred qualifications
5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations
