Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or technical discipline (chemistry, construction, computer science, mathematics, or physics) with 2 years of related experience; OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience; OR Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 4 years of related experience or 2 years of Constellation Reactor Services experience; OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience or 4 years of Constellation Reactor Services experience. Must maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable. Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
About this role
Fleet-wide support role for Constellation's Dry Cask Storage program, managing governance and oversight of spent fuel loading campaigns, ALARA practices, and Technical Specification compliance across nuclear facilities. Support campaign planning, schedule execution, and continuous improvement through vendor performance review, lessons learned analysis, and industry best practices adoption via participation in Holtec Users Group (HUG), Technical Nuclear Users Group (TNUG), and NEI Spent Fuel Working Group.
Responsibilities
- Support governance and oversight of DCS program processes including development of detailed plans and schedules for spent fuel loading campaigns
- Ensure station's DCS loading plan and schedule execution complies with Technical Specifications, station procedures, and organizational goals
- Develop and implement ALARA practices and DCS procedures
- Support campaign planning, schedule preparation, and execution across fleet
- Conduct assessments on DCS program implementation and provide observations during campaign execution
- Review vendor performance trends and drive corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Review Constellation fleet DCS lessons learned and industry operating experience (OPEX) to identify best practices
- Attend industry meetings and working groups including Holtec Users Group (HUG), Technical Nuclear Users Group (TNUG), and Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) Spent Fuel Working Group
- Solicit and implement best practices internally and externally to improve organizational effectiveness
- Support Dry Cask Storage Program Managers with peer team and business plan initiatives
- Cross organizational boundaries working with station departments and team leaders for SFLC preparation and execution
Preferred qualifications
Business degree or advanced technical credentials. Experience with industry working groups and regulatory compliance.
Location, schedule, and travel
Onsite at LaSalle, IL or Dresden, IL facilities; 0–25% travel to other Constellation Clean Energy Centers.
