About this role

Plan and prepare work packages for maintenance departments at a nuclear power plant to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in compliance with QA manuals, NRC regulations, and applicable codes. This role requires strong technical knowledge of nuclear operations and the ability to manage complex work coordination across multiple departments including Operations, Engineering, and Supply.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare work instructions for corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modifications

Select and approve purchases or make procurement recommendations for materials needed for work package execution

Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities

Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues

Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required for planned work packages

Prepare and submit Out of Service (OOS), Radiation Work Permits (RWPs), plant barriers, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, and ALARA task outs

Verify work instructions comply with plant procedures, Nuclear Safeguard Protocols, ASME Code, and applicable standards

Approve and review work packages to ensure safety, quality, technical rigor, and 10 CFR 50.59 compliance

Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to enhance work package development and maintain code compliance

Provide project management oversight of system planners and contractors

Participate in work control meetings, planning feedback sessions, contract reviews, troubleshooting, and Operating Experience searches

Support emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage activities as directed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, OR Current/previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 2 years of related experience, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of related experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience

Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access, as applicable

Favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Desired

5 years of experience in nuclear power plant operations

Location

On-site at Clean Energy Center (CEC) nuclear facility; field walkdowns and regular on-site work required
