Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent with military and/or business experience
  • Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience
  • Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions
  • Excellent team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical partners
  • English language skills (written and oral)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and nuclear power system design practices

About this role

Lead a distributed team of electrical engineers designing and implementing main power electrical systems for nuclear reactors at Westinghouse. This supervisory role combines technical oversight of nuclear electrical design with strategic project execution and mentorship of nuclear engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to a distributed team of electrical engineers and designers on nuclear main power systems
  • Support department leadership with offer development and project execution for reactor electrical systems
  • Implement training and development plans for team members in nuclear engineering disciplines
  • Mentor the team to aid in their technical development, project performance, and work satisfaction
  • Engage with external customers, partners, and WEC senior management on nuclear projects
  • Support prioritization of engineering tasks by assessing project goals, execution time, and implementation costs
  • Implement best practices, lessons learned, and improvements in project performance and safety margins
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize engineering data and trends for management

Location, schedule, and travel

Hybrid arrangement; primary locations are Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC; minimum 2 days per week on-site required
