Lead Supplier Performance Engineer
About this role
Lead technical oversight of supplier performance for nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) major components in a highly regulated environment. You'll manage a team of Supplier Performance Engineers across multiple suppliers and projects, ensuring alignment with quality, schedule, and cost objectives while maintaining compliance with nuclear standards including ASME Section III and 10 CFR requirements.
Responsibilities
- —Lead, coordinate, and prioritize activities of assigned Supplier Performance Engineers across multiple suppliers, components, and projects
- —Serve as technical escalation point for supplier performance issues, quality events, delivery risks, and complex nonconformances
- —Ensure consistent application of supplier performance expectations, technical rigor, and oversight practices across the SPE team
- —Drive development and execution of supplier performance strategies, including risk mitigation actions, recovery plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
- —Enforce compliance with ASME Section III, applicable regulatory requirements, and company quality standards through review and approval of escalated supplier documentation
- —Lead resolution of complex technical and quality issues, balancing safety, quality, schedule, and cost considerations
- —Monitor supplier performance metrics and scorecards to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- —Provide communication to leadership on supplier status, risks, mitigation plans, and resource needs
- —Support onboarding, mentoring, and development of SPEs to strengthen technical capability and execution consistency
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline
- —10+ years of related experience in highly regulated industries
- —Experience leading technical teams and managing supplier performance
- —Strong knowledge of nuclear or regulated quality programs (e.g., NQA-1, ASME Section III, 10 CFR)
- —Willingness to travel internationally

Location
Monfalcone, Italy; hybrid position requiring up to 3 days per week onsite; international travel required
