About this role
Lead a team developing safety-critical software for Nuclear Instrumentation and Control systems at Westinghouse. Architect and maintain applications on the Common Q Platform, guide junior engineers, and collaborate with external certification groups on safety system software for nuclear reactors.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain application software for I&C Safety System products
- Develop requirements and design documentation for implemented software
- Perform documentation and code reviews for implemented software
- Work with external groups to support testing and certification of Safety System Software
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and address reported software issues from internal and external sources
- Complete assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements
- Mentor colleagues to develop skillsets within the team
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with PLC function block programming
- C/C++ experience
- SQL/Access experience
- Git/Subversion or similar software configuration management tools
- Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD solutions
- IBM DOORs or similar requirements management tools
