Lead Procurement Engineer
About this role
Lead Procurement Engineer for Westinghouse Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) primary components. Drive supplier identification, technical evaluation, and oversight across the full procurement lifecycle—from design through post-delivery—for domestic and international nuclear projects. Manage RFQ packages, design proposal reviews, quality assurance witness points, and PO execution to ensure compliance with nuclear standards and schedule/cost targets.
Responsibilities
- —Lead supplier identification, down-selection, and technical evaluation; negotiate NDAs and PIAs
- —Create and manage RFQ packages with complete technical and quality requirements; review supplier design proposals and compliance matrices
- —Collaborate with design engineering and quality teams to develop document submittal requirements and witness/hold points (W&HP)
- —Develop manufacturing and process plan estimates for cost and schedule validation; create supplier oversight labor plans
- —Implement supplier quality assurance technical witness and hold points; conduct regular supplier and project meetings
- —Manage Purchase Order change requisitions and notices; ensure complete PO scope including fabrication, testing, and documentation
- —Archive quality records in PRIME; coordinate equipment receipt, turnover, and shipment logistics
- —Ensure compliance with applicable nuclear standards, procedures, and Level 2/3 documentation
Qualifications
- —Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
- —Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and supply chain, preferably in Power Generation or Nuclear Industries
- —Willingness to travel to support supplier development, oversight, and emergent project issues
Location
Hybrid role based in Cranberry Township, PA; travel required to support supplier development and oversight
